~Episode 165~

Google is awesome on this episode, meaning it won’t let us actually start the show. Elfman loads us up with recipes that will make your Christmas dinner taste amazing and leave you somewhat tipsy. Also Elfman has a bit of a hard time saying words during the segment, makes one wonder if he has not already had some of his tasty drinks. We get half of a anime review from Mira, which is more entertaining then most of the reviews as she reads the comments and everyone is saying bad Mira. Jellal gives us a list four horsemen drinks that has Mira wondering if he is crazy. Thrn tge show continues like it started, with technical difficulties after Reedus’ Gallery.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

    2 large onions, chopped

2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach – thawed, drained and squeezed dry

    2 tablespoons chopped fflou dill

    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 2 (4 ounce) packages feta cheese, crumbled

    4 eggs, lightly beaten

    salt and pepper to taste

    1 1/2 (16 ounce) packages phyllo dough

    3/4 pound butter, meltedmelted

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Slowly cook and stir onions until softened. Mix in spinach, dill and flour. Cook approximately 10 minutes, or until most of the moisture has been absorbed. Remove from heat. Mix in feta cheese, eggs, salt and pepper.
  3. Separate one sheet of phyllo from the stack and evenly brush with a light coating of butter. Place another sheet of phyllo over the butter and press the two sheets together. Cut the layered phyllo dough into long strips about 3 inches wide. Keep the remaining phyllo covered with plastic wrap to keep it from drying out.
  4. Lay out one strip of phyllo at a time on your work surface with one of the narrow ends close to you. Place a heaping tablespoon of filling 1 inch from the end closest to you. Fold the bottom right corner over the filling to the left edge to form a triangle. Fold the triangle up, bringing the point at the bottom left up to rest along the left edge. Turn the lower left corner over to touch the right edge. Continue turning the triangle over in this manner until you reach the end of the phyllo. Repeat with the remaining filling and phyllo dough.
  5. Place filled phyllo dough triangles on a large baking sheet and brush with the remaining butter. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 45 minutes to 1 hour.

1 (.25 ounce) envelope active dry yeast

    1 cup heavy cream

    3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1 teaspoon almond extract
    1/2 cup white sugar
    1 egg white, beaten
    1/2 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let stand for 10 minutes to dissolve. Stir in cream.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, salt and cardamom. Cut in the butter using a pastry blender or pinching with your fingers until it is a course mealy texture. Stir in the yeast mixture until well blended. Pat into a ball, flatten slightly, then wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
  3. To make the filling, mix the almond paste, almonds, sugar, cinnamon and almond extract using an electric mixer until evenly blended. It may be crumbly.
  4. Roll the chilled dough out into a 2 inch wide and 24 inch long rectangle. Spread the filling to within 2 inches of the sides and roll up into a tube. Cover your work surface with sugar, and roll the tube of dough in the sugar to coat thoroughly. Roll and stretch the dough out to form a long rope about 40 inches long. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and shape into a pretzel shape.
  5. Brush the top of the pretzel with egg white and sprinkle with almonds. Cover loosely with a towel and let rise for 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bake the kringle in the preheated oven until golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into slices to serve.

Anime Review

~Episode 212(Episode 37) Juvia vs. Aries. Desert Duel to the Death ( Desert Death Match)

Miraliked that Levy was the winner in the trivia matches, and she was super excited that the last question was ” Who does Levy like?” And even though it was muted, she felt like Levy said Gajeel, which made her happy because she like Gajeel and Levy together. The only Part about it that sucked is that this is filler! She thought that the 13th gate key turning into a doctor/nurse was really scary.

Bra Sizes: DD=1 D=3

Lisanna: She thought that this piece was really simple but gorgeous at the same time. She also thought that the key was really beautiful.

Mira: She thought thevhyper realism was a little weird which is why she gave it a D. But the does think that this is a beautiful piece, she I just a little thrown off by the hyper realism used to create the picture. She also really wanted to let Lucy’s hair.

Lucy: Lucy had a very straight forward review of this picture. She saw it, she liked it, end of story.

Jellal: The reason why Jellal gave this piece a D was because he could not figure out where the light was coming from behind  her. He also thought it was a little odd that there was no golden light on her face  coming from the key. The last thing he pointed out was that her eye seems a little further from center then the other one.
